Madrid Barajas International Airport Terminal Information

Introduction

Madrid Barajas Airport (MAD) has four terminals and an additional satellite terminal.

Terminal 4 (T4), the newest, is a splendid, well-lit building that handles a large number of international flights in conjunction with its satellite (T4S), to which it is linked by a small, driverless train with a journey time of about four minutes. It opened officially on February 5th 2006.

Terminals 1, 2 and 3 are closely connected to the Madrid underground train system and less crowded than previously.

Terminal 4 (T4) and Satellite (T4S)

T4 and its satellite T4S are the airport's newest terminals and though two km apart they work as one, linked by a driverless train.

Both the main terminal and its satellite have shopping areas.

The following airlines operate from T4 and T4S:

Air Algerie, Air Nostrum, American Airlines, Atlas Blue, Avianca, British Airways, Brussels Airlines, Cityflyer Express, CSA Czech Airlines, Egypt Air, El Al, Finnair, Iberia, Iberworld, Lan Chile, Lan Ecuador, Lan Peru, Lithuanian Airlines, Luxair, Malev-Hungarian Airlines, Meridiana, Olympic Airlines, Royal Air Maroc, Royal Jordanian, Syrian Arab Airlines, Tarom, Ukraine International and Vueling.

Terminal 1 (T1)

The following airlines operate from terminal 1: Aerlingus, Aero México, Aeroflot, Aerolíneas Argentinas, Aerosur, Air China, Air Comet, Air Europa, Air Moldova, AMV Airlines, Blue Air, Bulgaria Air, Continental Airlines, Cubana Airlines, Delta Airlines, Easyjet Airlines, Easyjet Switzerland, Germanwings, Korean Air, Libyan Arab Airlines, Lot-Polskie Linie Lotnicze, LTE International Airways, Lufthansa, My Way, Pullmantur, Qatar Airways, Ryanair, Saudi Arabien Airlines, Sun Express, Swiftair, Swiss, TAM Airlines, Thai Airways, Tunisair, Turkish Airlines and US Airways.

Terminal 2 (T2)

The following airlines operate from this terminal: Air Berlin, Air Europa, Air France, Alitalia, KLM Royal Dutch Airlines, Scandinavian SAS, Spanair and TAP Air Portugal.

Terminal 3 (T3)

The only airline operating from this terminal is Spanair.
